Professional and personalised service One of the main highlights is at the Old Drift Lodge where we saw a family of elephants drinking out of our pool! Both the river and land safari at sunrise were spectacular with bush picnics by the picturesque Zambezi river. I’ve become a fan of having my morning coffee with Amarula!! At Simbavati waterside, the location next to the watering hole was very nice to look out while having meals, where we had a group of elephants entertaining us. Every meal here is a 5 star experience with the quality of food served. I particularly loved the small size of this lodge which made it intimate and easy for us to get to know other guests. We also love our guides Julian and Rodney! Julian was incredibly knowledgeable and we loved hearing him sharing facts about the animals we saw and also being considerate to the animals and surroundings. ''Without question we would and will recommend Karen Dewhurst and Sikeleli who have now arranged three trips of a lifetime: Zimbabwe, Italy and now Australia and New Zealand There were so many highlights, but if I had to choose, it would be snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, experiencing Uluru at dawn, and flying in a prop plane into Milford Sound, skimming close to snow-covered peaks in New Zealand. We provided constraints and a proposed itinerary that you navigated with great skill. We were flying all over Australia and New Zealand. All of the connections and limo pickups were flawless and The itinerary and other apps were very user friendly and quite informative."

I've been travelling with Sikeleli for 8 years now. This past winter I did 3 separate trips, covering 4 countries, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Egypt. As usual A+ service provided by Sikeleli and all providers. I'm always singing my praises of Sikeleli to all that I can. All 3 trips met and exceeded expectations. Some highlights were the Taj Mahal, spotting leopards in India & Sri Lanka, the private catamaran experience for whale watching off the coast of Sri Lanka, getting to see Oranguatans in Indonesia, walking behind a Komodo Dragon with a guide and ranger, waterfall exploring in Central Java and of course experiencing all the history of Cairo and the Nile River. And of course, climbing inside the freaking Great Pyramid! What a freaking highlight!!! Communication by Karen, the guides and drivers was always professional, courteous, informative and timely. Unfortunately we had to cancel the Jordan portion of my Egypt trip, however this was handled in an expert manner by Karen."

Traveled with us in October 2025 ''This was our first trip with Sikeleli Travel & Expeditions, but it won’t be our last. Our adventure of three and a half weeks went flawlessly. The entire trip was so well planned with every detail and contingency anticipated. Sikeleli developed a custom adventure for our group of six that included visits to four countries. Before and after each flight, we were met by friendly and helpful people who guided us through the maze of customs, visas, and security. They provided efficient and timely transportation to our destinations and made sure we were acquainted with our hotel staff. Without exception, our accommodations were spectacular and the food was delicious. Our cultural and wildlife guides were very knowledgeable and fun travel companions. We couldn’t have asked for better people to guide us through our journey into the southern African continent. Karen was an amazing travel planner. She took the itinerary we had designed and turned it into the trip of a lifetime.
