Conservation
At Sikeleli Travel & Expeditions, one of our core values is wildlife and habitat conservation, with a special emphasis on rhino protection. We are deeply committed, both as a family and a company, to supporting wilderness conservation efforts in Africa. We carefully choose local travel partners who share our commitment to conservation, and we collaborate with the following organizations, which are doing tremendous work in the field.
JUFUTA

Jafuta Foundation, a remarkable non-profit dedicated to creating balance between communities, wildlife, conservation, education, and culture. Based on the edge of Zambezi National Park, Jafuta brings together local authorities, private partners, and protected area agencies to drive meaningful, transparent impact with 100% of all funds directed to projects on the ground. Their work spans community upliftment, education access, cultural preservation, and innovative conservation support across Victoria Falls and Hwange. Through their Centres of Hope and women’s empowerment initiative, Batoka Creatives, Jafuta is transforming lives while protecting the landscapes that sustain them. Visit their website here.
ELE-COLLECTION

We are proud supporters of Ele-Collection, a powerful initiative tackling plastic pollution in Southern Africa’s most sensitive wilderness areas. A portion of every Sikeleli invoice goes directly toward their mission. In partnership with Jafuta, Ele-Collection empowers local communities, especially women by creating jobs to collect plastic from the environment. The waste is sorted and transformed into recycled building materials, helping restore Victoria Falls and its surrounding parks, with the long-term goal of cleaning the entire KAZA region. Imire Rhino Orphanage

Imire Rhino & Wildlife Conservancy, a pioneering conservation project protecting some of Zimbabwe’s most endangered species. Just 90 minutes from Harare, Imire is home to vital rhino breeding programmes, orphaned elephants, and an innovative cheetah rewilding initiative. Their work is built on a powerful vision: conservation, communities, and tourism thriving together. Through long-term environmental management and community partnerships, Imire creates sustainable impact while safeguarding Africa’s wildlife heritage.
