Day 1 to 3: Tokyo
Our 14-day tour starts in Tokyo, one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in Asia. Take a stroll in the beautiful Imperial Palace East Gardens and see the famous Shibuya Crossing. You have the option to take a day trip to Kamakura, a coastal town with many beautiful shrines and temples or a visit to the Tokyo Skytree – the tallest tower in the world. Japanese cuisine is a must-try, so we will take you to enjoy a local’s dining experience in Tokyo’s best izakayas (Japanese-style gastropubs). One HAS to visit the Golden Gai district too, teeny tiny little bars and restaurants some seating only 4 or 8 people – charming, delicious and completely unique!

Day 4 to 6: Takayama
Next, we will travel to Takayama, a charming city surrounded by nature in the heart of the Japanese Alps. Takayama preserved its traditional town houses, sake breweries, narrow streets, and wooden buildings. We will show you the ancient heart of the city and take you to a local market that has been around since the 16th century. We will also take a day trip to the World Heritage site of Shirakawago, where traditional thatched houses dot the countryside and take you on a delightful journey through the region’s rich history.

Say hello to the “little Kyoto,” Kanazawa. Kanazawa has a rich history and still has remained unspoiled over the centuries.
