Travelled in February 2023
This is my 3rd time and our 2nd time as a couple with Sikeleli Safaris. Our recent trip to Morocco was an absolute amazing adventure. It was postponed almost 1 year due to Covid restrictions, but Dani and the crew did a great job at being flexible and working with the ground suppliers and us to come up with a new itinerary and timing when we could travel.
As for the tour it was A+ the whole way. Right from being met after arriving to the airport to being dropped off at the end. Our guides and driver were knowledgeable, on time, friendly and respectful to our expectations, needs and wishes.
The hotels we stayed at were wonderful with a varied experience from start to finish. Morocco was a fascinating country and we were blown away by how diverse the landscape was, the history was unbelievable and loved the food! As a gay couple travelling in a country that is primarily Islamic, it was a bit of a concern for us. We felt extremely well looked after by our guides, hotels and the people we encountered.
Sikeleli once again knocked it out of the park for our tour. From the mosque tours, desert camping experience, sand boarding, camel ride and all the exploring of markets and Medinas we had our very knowledgeable guide who was flexible and accommodating to our requests. Having wifi in our vehicle was a huge benefit, which we didn’t expect!
The biggest highlight for us was visiting the Berber family for the afternoon, cooking tagine, bread and helping make pottery. It was one of the biggest highlights I’ve ever experienced with all the travels I’ve done!
