Traveled in September 2022. (postponed from 2019)

We had high expectations of Africa, but the trip exceeded it. Our hearts are in Africa and we cant wait to be back. I cried on the plane ride leaving Botswana.

We loved both destinations (Botswana and South Africa), but were truly captivated by the beauty of Botswana! The entire experience at Selinda Explorer’s Camp was raw and wild– being woken up by lion roars early in the mornings was a shock to the system (in a good way)! Our guide Stitch was also AMAZING and extremely knowledgeable. The highlights of Bots were 1) a visit to a den of African wild dog pups, 2) a fight between 5 male lions on their search for a lone female, 3) a very close encounter with a semi-adult elephant (terrifying!! but Stitch knew exactly what he was doing).

After Bots, we headed to Londolozi for a more luxurious stay and a slower paced safari– a wonderful way to wind down the trip. Managed to see many leopards and a kill up in the tree! The Tree Lodge was a beautiful establishment with so much history, thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the grounds. Our camp manager, Ashleigh, did such an outstanding job taking care of us. She made us feel right at home every time, with incredible attention to detail.

Thank you for showing us such a beautiful place on earth.
